Welcome to Survivor Showdown! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Survivor Showdown website and services. By using our service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Plain English version: Be cool, have fun, don't be a jerk, and remember this is just a game.

🔞 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Survivor Showdown.

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the service and that they have read and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

If you're under 13, we love that you're a Survivor fan, but you can't use this service yet. Come back when you're older!

1. Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate information
Keep your login credentials secure
Not share your account with others
Not create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages

You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, let us know immediately.

2. Acceptable Use

Do:

✓Have fun and enjoy the competition
✓Be respectful to other users, even when trash-talking
✓Report bugs or issues you find
✓Use the service as intended

Don't:

✗Harass, bully, or threaten other users
✗Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or explicit material
✗Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the service
✗Use bots, scripts, or automation to gain unfair advantages
✗Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
✗Share spoilers in league chats before episode deadlines
✗Use the service for any illegal purpose

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (like chat messages, league names, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a license to display and use that content to operate the service.

We don't actively monitor all content but reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms. If you see something problematic, report it.

4. Intellectual Property

Survivor Showdown and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Important: We are not affiliated with Survivor, CBS, or Paramount Global. "Survivor" is a trademark of CBS Studios Inc. We make no claim to Survivor-related intellectual property.

5. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available."We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service.

•We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
•We're not responsible for any decisions you make based on the service
•We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
•This is a fan project for entertainment only—no real prizes are awarded

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to: lost data, lost profits, personal injury, or property damage. Our total liability to you for any claims is limited to the amount you paid us (which is $0, since the service is free).

7. Account Termination

You can delete your account anytime by contacting us at hi@survivorshowdown.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion. This includes but is not limited to:

Repeated harassment of other users
Cheating or exploiting the service
Illegal activity
Any other serious violation of these Terms

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of California.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
